GETTING HERE
BY CAR/MOTORWAY Grasshoppers is located close to the heart of the city centre with nearby access to the M8, M77 and M74 motorways, and as with all big cities, finding your way around can be complicated. Recent anti-congestion measures mean that Union Street is closed to private cars between the hours of 7am and 7pm and even outside these times parking is very difficult except for the briefest of drop-offs.(Note: taxis are unaffected by the restrictions).
If you're coming by car we recommend you park in the Jamaica Street Car Park, which is approx 300m south of the hotel. Grasshopper guests are eligible for a 30% discount when reserving a space online. Please ask for the discount code when making your booking.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT From Queen Street station, exit adjacent to Boots and the ticket office and turn left onto Woodside Way, turn immediately right onto West George Street and first left onto Buchanan Street. Continue down and take second right onto Gordon Street between TGI Fridays and Lush. Continue along Gordon Street, across West Nile Street and turn left onto Union Street. Outside Café Nero, cross onto right hand side of street directly outside Union Street entrance to Central Station, continue down Union Street and the entrance to Grasshoppers Hotel within Caledonian Chambers is located at number 87 between Timpsons and Greggs.
From Central station, take exit 2 onto Union Street located between the public washrooms and Arrol Bar. Turn immediately right onto Union Street and the entrance to Grasshoppers Hotel within Caledonian Chambers is located approximately 10m along at number 87, between Timpsons and Greggs.

From Buchanan bus station, exit onto Killermont Street and turn left then first right onto West Nile Street. Continue down West Nile Street until junction with Gordon Street where you turn right. FROM AIRPORTS The Airport Express (500) bus to Glasgow International Airport is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and runs every 10 minutes with a journey time of approximately 15-20 minutes.
From the Airport Express bus stop on Bothwell Street, turn right onto Hope Street and first left onto Gordon Street, continue along past the front of Central Station and turn right onto Union Street. Grasshoppers Hotel is located within Caledonian Chambers on the right-hand side at number 87 approx 15m beyond the side entrance to the station.
Glasgow International Airport
There is a train that runs from Glasgow Prestwick Airport to Glasgow Central Station and runs every half hour with a journey time of approximately 30-40 minutes. Thereafter follow directions as previous.
There is also an X77 bus that runs from Glasgow Prestwick Airport to Buchanan Street bus station. Thereafter follow directions as previous.
